Finance Assistant
1 year Fixed Term Contract
Salary Up to £27,000 (depending on experience)
Drinkaware is the UK’s leading alcohol charity with a vision of ‘Working together to reduce alcohol harm across the UK’. We use our expertise to give government, industry, communities and individuals the knowledge and support to make informed decisions about alcohol and how to reduce the harm it can cause. We deliver public-facing campaigns and digital services, information and guidance, evidence-led advice to governments and industry, and independent research, consumer insight and evaluation.

About the role:
In this role, you will be providing efficient and accurate administrative support. You will also be responsible for supporting the Finance team in maintaining our financial systems, recording and processing financial information, data entry and general financial administration, whilst ensuring effective financial management across the organisation.

About you:
The role will suit a Finance Assistant who is at an early stage in their career or is keen to change career paths and has an interest in gaining experience in the charity sector. Alternatively, it might suit someone looking to return to work after a career break, or someone winding down their career. A full training and development plan can be drawn up to suit the individual.
Ideally, you will have a proven interest in finance and be able to demonstrate aptitude to the work. As part of this appointment there will be a focus on training and growth, with the potential to increase responsibility as the role develops.
You will have excellent attention to detail, accuracy and communication skills (written and verbal), who can work calmly and swiftly with others, and understands that information held within finance needs to be handled confidentially.
A personal commitment to reducing the risk of alcohol-related harm is desirable but not essential.

Hybrid Working Model
At Drinkaware we currently operate a hybrid model with colleagues working a minimum of 2 days per week in our Moorgate office and the remainder remotely.
